Japango is an elegant Japanese restaurant on Pearl Street serving up the best sushi I have ever had. The ambiance is lovely, they have a tank of jellyfish in the middle of the restaurant which is so unique. Our favorite starters were the beef tataki and the hamachi jalapeño. The food and service were fantastic! Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to this establishment. We have visited multiple times and are always impressed. Shoutout to our server Matthew for giving us a memorable time! A great variety of food and drinks with a chill environment. The atmosphere is great — the fish is TERRIBLE. In case you are scouting as a non-local, Hapa is the best quality fish in town with wayyyyy better prices. Hapa was closed for lunch today so we asked them for their “next best” which was easily 7 steps down — it was hardly even enjoyable. Quinton took my order over the phone and was rude and bothered from start to finish. This is a fantastic sushi spot! They’ve got a great selection and the service is outstanding. Absolutely worth it!
HIGHLY recommend the Wagyu tartare, magic mushrooms, and hamachi nigiri with a jalapeño on top. I wish I took photos but I enjoyed the food so much I forgot. Excellent service for a dining solo, cozy vibes, and kind servers!
