Absolutely great Customer Service and Professional staff. Huge selection of KEI Trucks, Van's, Car's, and some really unique specialty rides. Go check them out and get yourself a new ride, we did. Slater is the Man who made these vehicles so popular in Hawaii.
The staff at JDM Hawaii were very friendly, responsive, and helpful. They made buying a JDM car simple, explained their car selection process and the services they offer well and were able to answer any of the questions I had. Overall great experience and I would go through them again should I need to buy another car.
I called JDM to inquire about a Kei Truck and Robert helped me every step of the way. He chose the truck that was perfect for my farm - 1997 Suzuki Carry. Just picked up the truck today at the Hilo Port. Would have given 5 stars if they had told me how to take the gas cap off the truck- it had no gas on arrival and I had to call and ask but other than that I highly recommend these guys for a Kei truck or van.
If I could give negative stars I would. I picked up my vehicle in November from Kawaihae Harbor drive it to Kona then to Hilo and back to Kona and it died on me never to start again. It's been sitting since before Thanksgiving and the dealer doesn't care and there isn't a shop in Kona willing to work on it for me. If given the opportunity to deal with this company again I wouldn't. They can care less about any service that you will need on Big Island anyway
Super stoked! Why did we buy from JDM Hawaii? Because we trusted them. Sure we could have bought online from some random site but who knows what would have rolled off the dock if it came straight from Japan, or what could have gone wrong with it if we’d gone with a private seller. JDM Hawaii guarantees primo quality vehicles and maintenance/service in-house along with all parts available. Robert sold us ours. He was super mellow and really helpful, no pressure to sell.
