I cannot recommend Jeffery Veldman highly enough. He is a truly exceptional psychiatric nurse practitioner. What sets him apart is the combination of his expert knowledge in the field and a profoundly kind and understanding approach. I especially appreciate his patience. If you want a proactive practitioner, Jeff is your man. I've tried many others and it seemed all they did was listen. Jeff will give you pointed advice and back it up with reasoning. He told me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear. Jeff kicked off a decision to make major improvements in my life. 11 months later I no longer drink Alcohol and I require no medication at all to live a happy life. I needed that push Jeff, thank you!

I’ve been seeing Jeffrey for at least a year now and it’s been quite a journey. I came to him dealing with depression and anxiety and he has patiently helped me navigate several medications which were not easy for me. I seem to be extremely sensitive to psychoactive medications and had negative side effects ranging from “brain zaps” which frightened me, to hair loss. When i came to Dr. Jeffrey my life was in shambles. I was battling anxiety, depression, and as i recently discovered bipolar disorder. I started seeing him to deal with my CPTSD. I really appreciate his bedside manner and don't feel like I'm going to traumatize him with my stories. He isn't one to over prescribe, so when he says something will help i trust him. He validates my feelings and experiences without coming off as patronizing or coddling me. Which is what I need from a provider. Highly recommend.
