Always listens. Responds to messages promptly. Shows genuine concern.
I was always taught to look for the best in people. Still looking and can't find anything positive to say. Totally unsuited for this line of work. Physician, heal thyself. Anyone who refers a patient to this person is doing that patient a great disservice. I echo all the other negative comments posted here and elsewhere.
"I recently had a session with Jonathan Koelle for some medication. Although I was frustrated that he didn’t give me the meds I wanted, this is not why I don’t like this doctor. I found him extremely passive aggressive to the point of pinning him down for a straight answer. I also wonder if he is over prescribing antidepressants. This is simply the rudest ,most arrogant ,uncommunicative ,,and disingenuous doctor I have ever had. Avoid at all costs
I have been seeing him for over a year now, which makes me sad to even admit. I needed a psychiatrist immediately due to side effects of a mental health issue; this is where I landed. My appointments have always seemed rushed. He does not listen to or seem to care about my concerns or even the side effects some of the medications he prescribed had given me. I have not come across such an arrogant, judgmental, border line discriminatory, and unhelpful doctor and/or psychologist in a decade! He just wants to pump out prescriptions not actually address the mental/emotional issues. A recommendation of well-rounded treatment after evaluation stopped at “well let’s just increase your dose”, he actually was annoyed I asked about talk therapy or Cognitive-behavioral in addition to medication.
