Being a patient here is full of long wait times on the phone, playing phone tag, and working with departments that are so clearly disconnected from one another, all while using an archaic web portal that can’t be trusted to send messages. The doctors are great but the experience is full of so much wasted time that it may not be worth it.
I want to caution and warn any patient that visits a doctor of Keck should be prepared to pay an additional charge that will be quite hefty for any in office procedure. This information is not explicitly explained or given to the patient before the procedure as was my case. Now I'm stuck with a huge bill because of this additional facility/surgical charge. I was in the hospital for 1 week for brain 🧠 testing. The nurses were very nice and even came to me to see if I needed anything. I was on camera 24 hours a day. I had a lot of fun with the dog that came and visited me, the dog gave a hard time when it was time to go.
I have been their patient for the last 26 years. Hospital, doctors, facilities and staff are the best. I had some billing statement dispute and they have settled it. Keck Medical School is one of the finest in the world. If their doctors can't cure someone then no power in our universe and beyond could cure that person. I have a degree in mathematics and accounting. I am also a good student of astronomy and quantum physics. Checked my Mother into the Neurology Dept. And right now it is 1☆ because quite an unprofessional woman/employee sitting behind glass at the Appointment Check Out Desk. We have sat here an hour waiting to watch her eat, drink, snack, be on her cell phone. She should be terminated! What a huge embarrassment for Keck USC! How very unprofessional...You should have people of utmost professional appearance and behavior at your Appointments Check Out Desk in Neurology
