My daughter has been attending for a year now. She absolutely loves it! The teachers that she has had have been excellent. She is well taken care of there and we couldn't be happier! There are lesson plans and a lot of hands on activities that keep them engaged and learning and they have fun visitors that come as well, most recently a petting zoo.
I love Kiddie Country. I'm 36 years old, and believe it or not I attended Kiddie Country when I was a preschooler, back in the early 80s. I believe my first year there was the first year Kiddie Country II (this location) opened up. Whatever memories I still remember from there, are all great. This is why I was so excited to have my now 5-year old, who is now in Kindergarten at our local Elementary school, go there. She was there for the past 2 years. Part of the reason she was excited to go there was that her Dad went th... read more
Great preschool. All the lead teachers have a bachelors degree in teaching, the afternoon staff are young girls but they're so sweet and caring toward the children. You definitely get what you pay for at this school. They do a ton of activities and have a music program which is great. My daughter loves all her teachers. The only negative I have is that they are pretty low tech, you won't get daily updates or reports like other establishments. However, I never worry about my child here. I know she's well cared for and loved b... read more
I love this center! Having owned and operated preschools, I have high expectations of a childcare facility. Kiddie Country meets all my expectations and even exceeds them at times. The teachers and aides are kind, patient, and work wonderfully with the children. My grandson has been in the 2-year-old's class for almost a year. He loves his teacher and all of her assistants and is thoroughly engaged in the well-organized program activities. The child-teacher ratio is impressive. I have seen my grandson make so much developmen... read more
This school is good. But mostly if you have a very easy going compliant child. They handle tantrums by taking your child in a walk in a circle around the school..and almost never get down on the child's eye level and talk to the child. (I never once saw that). They also make a habit of telling you all your child did that was bad while the child listens and they almost never say anything positive. This happens daily-- the child feels shamed. It's a bad cycle... Pros- they are clean and really care about cleanliness. They help... read more
All of the reviews on Google are fake, from other sites. KC used to be good before it was bought by private equity. You can guess what happened. Now they hire the lowest quality teachers they can find that are qualified and treat the few good ones left like crap. This place sucks. Don't waste your money.
Business response:
Thank you for sharing your feedback, Jim. We’re sorry to hear that your experience has left you feeling this way. We understand that long-time families can have strong feelings when a school changes over time, and we recognize the concerns you’ve raised about staffing and the overall experience for children and families. Our teachers are at the heart of our school community. Attracting and retaining great educators is essential to providing the high-quality learning environment that families expect. Initially we loved kiddie country. After about six months, they informed us there was a problem and then later recommended seeking outside assistance. Before we had a chance to delve into that they asked our son to leave (even though they promised they would work with us). This was very upsetting as a mother. We however continued to seek outside help from a behavioral specialist. She was able to observe him at Kiddie Country (and we have continued working with her) and concluded that he is a normal four year old who would b... read more
Business response:
Without a doubt we know how much you love your child and we too care deeply about him. We are sorry that our extensive efforts to find a solution that would work didn't come to fruition. As you know our implemented classroom management strategies were many and any decisions made were absolutely with your child's best interest at heart. We are pleased that he is doing well and we wish you and your family the very best.
BE AWARE! Kiddie country WILL NOT place your child into a classroom based on his age. For example, most day care centers have a young twos/older twos and a young threes/ older threes, based on the size of the Center. Kiddie Country will simply place your child into a three year old room. This room could have mainly older two year olds who are up to 12 months older than your child. Or if you have an older three year old, they could be in a room with all younger three year olds. Why is this important? As a parent you know eac... read more
