Abused and disrespected. 940 Franklin Terrace *was* a wonderful place to live. I say *was*, because ever since the former resident manager (who had lived there for over 20 years) left last fall, it had been a nightmare. The woman who replaced him was incredibly rude. Its all in the fine print. Skip Kleinman I lived with Kleinman for a little over a year and not because I wanted to. They extended my lease cause I was a week late in giving them a SIXTY day notice. The tiny two bedroom is too over priced (825). And thats all you get with rent. Absolutely nothing special and please keep looking. Maintenance requests take forever to get fixed. Kleinman = ruthless legal thieves I didn't live there officially but spent a lot of time there with my girlfriend over 3 years. While she was living there it was ok, but not great. I remember the garbage truck roaring in at 4:00 AM every week, and subsequently setting off the car alarm that some guy always parked NEXT to the dumpster. Please Keep Looking Although I found the apartment to be physically quite nice, and the location perfect, I wouldn't recommend renting from the company. To be fair, I didn't have any maintenance problems and felt that the property was well maintained. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of honesty by the management staff. AWFUL! They are really terrible. I lived at their property in St. Anthony for 2 1/2 years and they are currently trying to charge me for $500.00 additional to my $300.00 deposit. There was no real damage just your basic wear and tear...I mean we lived there for almost 3 years! They are greedy and will stiff you every chance they get. Keep looking. My fiance and I have lived in an apartment by kleinman realty for over a year and a half and we would not recommend it. They may seem like a cheap deal, but the apartment is not worth how much you pay. Ours does not have a dishwasher, it does not have enough parking for everyone, the paint is falling off of the walls, they never tell you the truth, and the maintenance is terrible. Not the greatest... My girlfriend and I rent in Saint Paul through Kleinman Realty and it is terrible. Someone is always complaining; you can't do anything for fear that you are going to get a call from the resident manager telling you to stop. Apartments are so-so besides the terrible maintenance program they have. Our plumbing for our faucet broke and it was 6 days before anyone came out to fix it. We couldn't use our sink for 6 days!!! I would definitely recommend someone else.
NO respect for tenants! I have lived in my apartment for 17 years. About 1 1/2 years ago Kleinman took over managment of my buidling. They treat me like it's a priviledge for me to live here and they never let you forget that you don't own this building, you are allowed to live here.
