Two new rear tyre on my BMW for a good price but scratched the life out of the rims putting them on. They left the rims covered in sealant so I didn’t notice at the time. Only washed my car today and uncovered the damage under the tyre sealant. Fantastic! The rims were perfect before this. Black gloss as well so it stands out. Update - 2 stars to 4; After raising the issue with Kwik-fit I can’t fault the aftercare in the slightest. They resolved the issue no quibble and I got my rims repaired. There was not much to make me unhappy - except, on line the KwikFit site seems to indicate up to 1 hour for the recharge process so I made arrangements for a timed appointment and to wait in the reception. However, I was told it would take about two hours. Perhaps a customer friendly approach would be to include the expected time for the job on your website.
Noticed my sons tyres were damaged 3:50pm on a Sunday and his driving test was 7:20am the next morning. Went in and the team got us straight in, with no issues what so ever. Our technician was Callum, and the lad on the desk who sorted us out was brilliant!! Great service and appreciate what yous have done for my son.
The car sailed through its MOT with no work needed. As such I was very pleased. The test was undertaken inside the allocated hour which was great. The only negative I would flag which does give me cause for concern is that I took the same car to Kwikfit Jesmond in June for a service dues to the car feeling like it was struggling a bit. Mechanic didn't secure my TPMS sensor properly causing it to get damaged. Although the centre has ordered a replacement at their cost, it's a huge inconvenience to have to wait over a week for an appointment to replace the sensor and then on tops of that, an hour's wait (according to staff member) in order for it to be fitted
