This school is a great way to get your foot in the door of healthcare! I had no medical experience before, but thanks to the amazing instructors—Mrs. Melva, Mrs. Lashay, and Mrs. Meghan—and the hands-on training, I feel confident starting my career as a medical assistant. If you’re looking for a solid way to begin in healthcare, I highly recommend this program!
I wouldn’t recommend this school at all. Unless they completely change the personnel other than Mrs.Dell. If it wasn’t for Mrs.Dell, our afternoon class wouldn’t have graduated or passed the NHA exam. The advisors that are supposed to help us SUCK, they don’t reply to your messages or emails and if they do it feels like they get back to you when they please. I was lucky enough to “graduate” and pass my NHA exam (which was pretty much self taught) after they almost refused to give me a book because I was an online student. I made the mistake of taking this course in 2020 during covid, and was not able to take any externships resulting in being told that I don’t have enough experience. I have called, left voicemails and emailed the school trying to get an answer to help me find an externship that works with Lake Jackson medical assistant school with no reply for weeks now. My instructors have been there for us through the whole process. We have been learning from the basics since January, and now that we will be graduating in July, I feel confident in my abilities because of my instructors Miss Eva and Miss Lynsie. Love this school!
