This house has been in my boyfriend’s family for years and hasn’t a gutter cleaning in that amount of time. There was grass and weeds growing out of the gutters! Since we got rid of our crab apple tree many years ago the only thing in our gutters is silt from the shingles which I spray out every year. I came home to this guy using our ladder out of our garage to take pictures of, and convince her to sign a contract for $4200 to have gutter guards installed. If this is what passes for needing gutter guards then maybe I'm wrong, look at these pictures. This literally takes me 20 minutes a year to clean out. I applied for a quote on a some gutters on my new home, which had none at all and I wasn’t sure who to go with so we had a few different companies come out. Initially I was quoted around $1400 from a local company for standard gutters running along front and back with 4 downspouts and gutter covers. When the LeafFilter rep came out he walked me through and suggested adding gutters on 2 areas the previous contractor had not suggested. The job was just completed today and until we get some weather (rain/ wind) I don’t feel comfortable rating 5 out of 5 stars for the product. I can say the gutters look really nice and there’s no apparent reason why they wouldn’t perform as advertised. We don’t have a lot of big trees in our yard so I didn’t think we e need Leaf Filter but all of our gutters were overflowing during a heavy rain. We cleaned out the gutters and they were full of our neighbors leaves! Our salesman, Carter, was great and went through all the options with us. No high pressure sales and he knew the product well.
