UPDATE: I just received a voicemail from a woman named Wendy who said that the reason I was charged is because I do not have mental health benefits but that they'll wave this first fee as a courtesy. HAHAHA - Firstly, I absolutely have mental health benefits and them "waving" the fee as a courtesy is a joke. I spent 3-4 weeks of hours on the phone to defend against my terrible 15 minute intake. I'm very pleased with the level of care I receive at LifeStance. The providers I've worked with (Nicole and Elaine) are very competent and easy to work with. Ive never had a problem booking or adjusting appointments.

This has been the most annoying experience of my life. The lady in the office has no clue which providers are in network or out of network. I was told they take my insurance only to have a fat bill in a few months. I called and asked why I had such a large bill, only to be told they never took my insurance and it has been out of network the entire time i have been going. It has been extremely difficult to book mental health appointments locally for me. By using ZocDoc via LifeStance it was super simple and fast! I will be arranging all of my appointments this way! My therapist as well was so positive, pleasant and supportive!
