I have mixed feelings about this SCS location. My psychiatry appointments are always only 30 min & she only remembers half of what I tell her each session. Constantly feel rushed & interrupted. Been seeing her for over 8 months now. Recently, I had paperwork for her to fill out & fax over but there was no receptionist to fax it so I had to wait several days (when I had time) to drive 30 min to hope someone has there to fax it because I couldn't get ahold of anyone over the phone! Dr. Johnson is great! She is always on time and very efficient whether I see her in the office or through telehealth. She orders my prescription refills at the end of the appointment.
Billing is unclear. I payed part of the balance reflected on 1st and only billing statement right before my 2nd meeting with my psychiatrist. Afterwards my balance jumped up an unexpected amount with NO additional billing statement. Checked on the patient portal 2 weeks after and could only my first statement. Also, there’s no payment listed in the payment history portal (even though I was definitely charged)… Fast forward to today, I was automatically charged my updated balance. Still NO statement listed and NOTHING shown ... read more
I love my psychiatrist. DR. Abby Johnson is genuine, careing, and kind. She treats me like the human I am, and not a number. I've been with her for quite some time now which is saying a whole lot considering, in the past I've tried numerous Drs. And never stayed with them, usually because they did treat me like a number instead of a human with real true feelings. I had Angel Marsigleo as a therapist and also stayed with her a long time too. I had been struggling with the loss of my matriarch in 08/22. I knew loss was inevitable, but the way I found out was not healthy. I reached out for answers, Life Stance has been there for me this year. My doctor is extremely compassionate, patient, understanding, empathetic...I can go on and on, the office is always clean and quiet as if I'm in a building while at home.
