I understand a psychiatrist is not a therapist, I have one already, but I expected a more personable experience for someone treating my mental health. I’m feeling extremely disappointed with my first exposure to psychiatry. I decided to stick it out for a few sessions although I was unhappy with my brief consult. I’m not sure why there is an option to select areas of expertise, if you only really discuss medication for about 10-20 minutes. My therapist is amazing. But we have connectivity issues like if a phone call comes in on my end and I declined it she is unable to hear me for the rest of the session. I often have to log out and go back in. Also on her screen I am sideways or upside down.
When making an appointment it was very easy. They found a great counselor. I've only had one appointment but I can say that I already feel comfortable with her. I also love the they have the option for telehealth. Everyone I was kind and helpful.
Have been a client for over a year. Was declined an office visit because on line paperwork was not filled out. Office admin offer no work around.
Charis Foraker is the BEST Psychiatrist I've ever had. Warmhearted, caring, understanding amongst many other positive things. The office staff is superb. Always very helpful and curtious! Would recommend LIFESTANCE to anyone for ALL mental health needs!
