I absolutely LOVE using Lifestance! When I found it, it was so easy to pick a therapist and set up my profile. My provider, Dr. Karakus is literally a God send! And I can easily contact her through my portal & she always gets back to me so quickly! The virtual visits make my life so much easier & me way less stressed & anxious. My Dr. Karakus is up is like an hour away, but for the mandatory yearly in person appointment they just set to to a different Lifestance provider that was local so I didnt have to drive so far. Highly recommend! Saw Dr. Liu on Telehealth and she was amazing and listened to my concerns. Appointments feel more like psychotherapy than just only medication management unless that is your treatment plan and have a therapist set up. I heard from a friend who sees Dr. Schack that he provides amazing services and education for his patients.
They will get you all set up, and wait till you have made arrangements with your job and adjusted everything else to get therapy and book 40 appointments. Then, when you show up for your first appointment, tell you you have to fill out forms before your appointment, have you trying to fumble around on your phone. My doctor, Sule Karakus, is a great fit for myself. She is attentive and cares about her patients. My experiences with Dr. Karakus are always on point and she is taking great care of my medications.
Their check-in process is appalling. - They send a text reminder, an email reminder AND do a call reminder for your appointment. I did not sign up for any of that, and the calling is way over the top. - When you try to check-in from your email reminder, you are taken through a list of "standard" check-in questions that are incredibly excessive.
