I am a teacher who recently transitioned to a new school district. Although I officially resigned from my previous position in July, my former employer backdated my insurance termination date to June 30th. As a result, when I attended a therapy session with my therapist (whom I have been seeing for three years and has helped me tremendously) I was unaware that I no longer had active insurance coverage.
