I’ve never done therapy before, and after recently going through something traumatic, I finally took the step to seek help. Unfortunately, my experience with this agency has been frustrating and deeply disheartening. I’ve now missed two therapy sessions due to ongoing issues with their Telehealth system. My therapist, Femy, is wonderful , and I've had a great experience with her. She has helped me tremendously over the years. Making an appointment and scheduling has been very easy, with Femy's help.
I was able to get an appointment quickly and timely. However, My therapist would schedule me for my next appointment during my visit but wouldn’t put it in the system. Most times, I had to text her to remind her of the ‘scheduled appointment’ and then she’ll add me. This happened 3 or 4 times. When we were meeting she was often doing what looked like house chores so it didn’t feel like she was paying attention to me.
The Clark location has thin 🧱 walls... you can hear the next door/room session right through the wall! 😳 There is no receptionist... it's like your walking into the back room of a business where you don't belong... you can here all the sessions going on right from the waiting room too! I don't understand this place.
My therapist is wonderful. The billing department, and Lifestance as a company, is atrocious. We have been trying to get a billing issue fixed for TWO YEARS. They took away my financial aid because I was able to get on Medicaid, and then obstinately refused to code for the correct state when they filed claims with the insurance company. The first time or two, mistakes happen, but we have been fighting them on it for two years.
