I spoke with Lifestance multiple times today 01/23 and was told that they cannot see my child solely because Medicaid is listed as a secondary insurance. They clarified this is their internal policy, not a state law. Even though they told me it was an Illinois state law at first. Their explanation was that if Medicaid refuses to pay as secondary, then my private insurance (BCBS PPO) supposedly would not pay them either. If you’re having mental health issues don’t waste your time with LifeStance in Lisle. I don’t even know where to begin. I came here seeking help for depression and anxiety. My therapist was Dawn Sands. I’ve never seen a therapist get so physically and emotionally triggered in sessions. She would constantly tap her foot or fidget, making it extremely hard to concentrate. Great experience and highly recommend! It’s been super easy to schedule appointments and to check in for my appointments in advance. Likewise, the quality of my therapy has been incredible and I feel like I’m actually making progress!
