When my daughter was diagnosed with autism, I had no idea what to do to help her. Finding Light house was literally a Godsend. The people there loved her and worked with her patiently. She loved them and went from non-verbal to can know talk most of the time. Although she misses this place, they will always have a special place in our hearts.
I am a parent who’s entered hard times caring for my disabled child. Many time society doesn’t acknowledge or address how lack of support forces many parents to become homeless or unknowing leave our ASD and cognitively unaware children in harms way to provide for them. My 3yo son has been going here about a year and we've seen a dramatic improvement in his communication skills and eye contact. This is play-based therapy so he enjoys going to school every day. They even taught him to pick up his toys@
My son has been at lighthouse for 18 months and he’s like a whole new kid. The staff there love him and he loves them right back. He is so excited to go every day. Within the first couple weeks of being there they started the process of getting him an AAC device and the process was so smooth. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at Lighthouse!
