Got the fish fry first night with the mac and cheese and the wings on the 2nd night. Every was great except the watery lukewarm mac and cheese.. Highly recommend this place!
Food is very good , service is friendly, my only suggestion is ( as a chef) place your burgers on paper BEFORE putting them on the bun. Everytime we eat there the bottom bun is so soggy it falls apart other than that it would be perfection.
Little Wagner's? No I'd call it Fancy Wagner's! The seating area is very very nice. The food is great, wonderfully prepared. I had the BLT, asked for crispy and it was spot on. Wifee had the grilled chicken and says it was tender and tasty! Onion rings were nice and crispy and hot. Inside Derby City Casino. Place ur order and they will bring to table. Because it's a casino, free soda and coffee, self serve. Mention senior citizen if u are one. Good choices, plenty of food, reasonable pricing. A good grilled beef hot dog comes with fries. Sub onion rings, one dollar more. This was our second time eating here and so far the experience has been great! Our first time I ordered 6 chicken tenders and they were delicious! They were so good I took a couple home! This time I ordered the fish which came with slaw, fries and 2 nice sized pieces of fish! My wife ordered the soup and salad! Everything was delicious! Service was spot on! Will be coming back soon!
Lil Wagner's is nestled inside of Derby City Gaming along the side of Railbirds Hot Chicken. Both restaurants operate out of the same space so there is one line for to place your order. We got the cheeseburger from Lil Wagner's & I am so glad we did! It was a double cheeseburger (to our surprise) & it was absolutely yummy. We both said we will definitely get it again the next time we are at DCG. The fries were fresh & delicious too. All fountain drinks, sweet tea, unsweetened tea, & bottled water are complimentary.
This place was amazing! Awesome value on all the meals. I got ribs which came with two classic sides for $14 very delicious and very filling I went with my brother and his girlfriend who both had nothing but good things to say as well. Who on earth rated this place so highly, they gotta be paying for that rating. I got. 3 piece tender. They were cold despite it being very popular with a long line. I added the sweet chili sauce, which was sweet but not spicy. The chicken tasted chalky and was cold. The onion rings were ok. The fries were decent. The ranch was adequate. This was my friends and I's first time visiting Wagners. We purchased drinks outside and made our way inside to use the restroom. There was a long line before us and once we made it in the bathroom, there was no longer a line behind us. As my friend was redressing, a staff member began banging on the door yelling at us to get out. We opened the door and this staff member continued yelling in a very aggressive manner "that we were taking too long and needed to leave immediately".
