Celebration Church is a close knit, interwoven, community of believers seeking to reach folks who don't know Jesus. We are relevant to today's world, not stuck in what worked in the past. However, those of us who have served the Lord a long time (since 1960 for me) still receive solid meat in the Word. I am blessed serving in a church so filled with the Love of Jesus reaching out to others in need. Our church ministers to: People with disabilities. Disaster victims. I stopped going because it's not the church it used to be. Now it's more of a concert during the almost 30 minutes of music at the beginning of each service. I also wanted to hear sermons that addressed current events and not so much of a motivational message. I get it, let's not offend anyone anymore but that's not what Jesus did. My near atheist son recently was baptized so Celebration has made a huge dif... read more

I was in the process of shooting a piece exploring why there has been a steady decline in Christianity in America and how it compares to the greater Austin area. Celebration is a great example in my opinion of why people stop attending church. I've not gone to church since Celebration. I've decided that the issue is too complex to be covered fairly, telling both sides of the story here. The d... read more
If I told my best friend about this place, I'd say: I have been attending Celebration Church since 2008. I became a Christian in 1983 so I am not new to the church game-- and it is a game with winners and losers. Celebration church is a winner. If you are looking for a perfect church, you won't find it at Celebration church. Why? Because Celebration Church is full of imperfect people. If you are looking for a church where the people are trying to live better lives as humans-- as Christians-- you will find many of those peopl... read more
