I was really frustrated with the recent changes from CBSA and the CARM registration process. To resolve this issue, I contacted three customs brokers, and Livingston has been the best by far!
Started with phone to explain my needs. Was told then to register, with them and get an account opened, including visa number and list of costs per for each portion of the transaction/shipment. Did that along with sending email files and what i needed. Waited for response (2days) No response. Sent follow up email mentioning my needs again. Got reply back, “ok accounts set up”. This was the first time for me bringing in an excavator and a wood processor from China. Joanne at Livingston international was extremely helpful and very patient when I made a bunch of mistakes she helped to straighten them out and I can see that it will be a successful shipment to Vancouver thank you Ron
Slowest, terrible customer service.. 100% would NOT recommend, if you want your freight to cross any borders in a decent amount of time find a different brokerage !
The was my first experience partnering with a customs broker to import products from the US into Canada. The whole process took less than 15 minutes to set up. Special thanks to Marie at Livingston who took the time to explain how it all works and made the experience easy and seamless. I highly recommend Livingston and will be using them again.
