My 7-year-old son is seriously mentally ill. Our family had an emergency move to California in February and I started researching mental health resources for him. I was referred to Douglas Young Youth & Family Center and he was assigned to Dr. Louella Ladia. At our first appointment she held up my son's 2-inch thick medical record she had received and commented on his substantial history. I’ve been seeing Dr. Ladia for more than 10 years since I was a child and she has always been great with me. She always listens well and helps me get closer to my goals and monitor my symptoms.

Dr Ladia should lose her medical License to practice Psychiatry. She is dangerous in her reckless disregard for patient follow up and monitoring. She has not laid eyes on my daughter in 3 years other than video chat visits which always have connection issues and many times end up simply being a phone call. She asks the same questions every single time as if it’s the first time meeting us. She prescribes Black Box medications and has never ordered bloodwork to monitor liver functions. Most dismissive, unexperienced, and invasive interview with no positive insight other then ignorant direction. It was made very clear money (3rd) party or not is the case. Other then that the medications works as intended. Thank you, I will continue paying a literal arm and leg so you can get paid. My question is, how do YOU sleep at night ripping people off?

louella ladia is incompetent and uncaring and put me in immediate danger. she does not care about her patients. she refused to increase the dosage of my medication even though i disclosed suicidal ideation simply because i use cannabis to cope with debilitating nausea. she proceeded to promise me refills but instead cut ties with me as a patient without telling me and then went on vacation, forcing me to go cold turkey on the medication i’ve been on for 5 years. i would give her zero stars if i could.
