Get directionsWe have driven past this beautiful facility frequently in Fort Wayne so when we needed help for my sweet mother in law it was the first place to come to mind. We looked up google reviews and saw some negative reviews but contributed it to the fact there will always be negative reviews and that overall it still seemed like our best option. However we now know better. We admitted my mother in law for what they estimated to be a 7-10 day stay. The first week she was there we called daily for updates, spoke to nurses but were to... read more
Some staff were extremely rude. One in particular was Drea. I have ptsd and went nonverbal so I tried to get help and she just stood there and berated me and tried to force me to talk. Stephanie would cuss at the kids while they were having breakdowns and whatnot. Constantly there would be fights and I got jumped on my first day. They would try to silence us and control what we said on the phone or during visitation. IOP is great though, but inpatient is terrible.
I spent 15 days here my longest impatient stay, out of 5 hospitals this was by far one of the greatest the staff were very involved with each individual patient and made an effort to create a home like environment. I got more then needed treatment including medication management and more. The food is alright better than expected but nothing fancy. 5/5 stars for me!
Do NOT use this facility if you’re a veteran. I was skeptical when my husband was sent here, but kept an open mind. The management is abysmal, communication between staff is nonexistent, get told three different things. It is just a chaotic money grab. There’s no “medical” staff, only psychiatric. They released my veteran husband and the Psych Provider “Patty” lied to us several times and said she couldn’t send his scripts to the VA. She PRESCRIBED those medications. We had to drive to the VA, turns out she just didn’t want ... read more
When I was there, my first night I had an "encounter" with another patient. That night I was "blocked" from having a roommate. The one staff there that was mostly understanding was Phil. When I was there, the patients called him Dr. Phil. He was very funny and understood me andy situation. Then, I met my now ex girlfriend there. Her name is Kaylee. We were both 17 years old. Long story short: it didnt last long at all. The only good part about Maple Heights is the soda machine. Other than that, I was traumatized every day by... read more
