Dr. Tobon is the most caring and thorough pediatrician I’ve ever known. Pediatric Associates has wonderful doctors and clinicians. They really do, most who have treated my children are wonderful and I have many favorites. However, Dr. Tobon has proven to be one of a kind, to say the least. Our son saw Dr. Tobon over a week ago and diagnosed him with RSV and sent him to the hospital where he needed oxygen for 5 days . She was patient , kind ,compassionate and thorough. I broke down during the appointment because of seeing our newborn so sick and she hugged me and was so considerate throughout the whole process. While in the hospital , she called us several times to check in on him to see how he was doing which my husband and I were so appreciative of . Dr. Gaviria-Tobon is wonderful! She is attentive, takes time to know her patients, and is friendly and personable while delivering excellent care. She stands out in this practice as someone who carefully listens to a patient’s concerns and has helpful suggestions and follow-up to properly diagnose and treat her patients. She is my kids pediatrician and she is a wonderful doctor, very knowledgeable and professional.
Trainees/interns were asking me questions about my son. She led me to believe he wasn’t developing at a normal rate, then asked me if I thought he was autistic. She said it was a question she had to ask. I said “why? Do you think he is?” How am I supposed to know if he might be? I don’t know any signs of it in a one year old. I felt very uncomfortable.
