My Aunt has been at the Sanctuary at Marian Oakland since March 2014. She has been very happy with the staff. They have been very helpful and concerned with her well-being. The cafeteria staff have also been very helpful in accommodating her food allergies and have made sure that her meals were still nutritious. Marian Oakland is a wonderful senior community. My mother-in-law lived here for a couple of years until her heart condition required a higher level of care. While she was at Marian Oakland she loved the community. The staff is caring and always put the residents first. From the Manager, Angie to all the staff, housekeeping, maintenance, the kitchen. My Mother moved in there July 1st. This place is amazing all of the staff went out of there way to help her. They came in once a week and cleaned her apartment. That lady was the Greatest she was always smiling. The food was home made and the dinning hall was always clean and colorful, for what ever the season was. If I every need to look for an independent living facility for myself this will be the first place I check out. My Mother had to move out last week. She needed a lot more care. My grandma moved here about two months ago and not only does she love it there but so does my family. The staff is always very friendly and loves having events not just for the residents but also for the families. The mothers day tea is so simple yet an easy way to involve the family members. They also have good food and services to help those living there. The food is all homemade and they have a variety of options even for the pickier eaters.
