My wife and I can't say enough about the Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre. An amazing place with a professional and compassionate staff. Our 15 year old orange tabby "Barley" had reached the end of his time with us. We knew this, but it didn't make it any easier. On a Sunday morning we arrive, never before having been to MVE&SC. I’ll start with the positive; they saved our kitties life and I am eternally grateful. The thought of losing him was horrifying, we are so grateful for all that they did. With that being said, the process to get to that point was difficult. We were very honest from the start about high fees being an issue (we understood it was an emergency vet but had our financial limit and explained that immediately). We had to make an emergency visit and this was the closest animal emergency. From start to finish it was nothing but a 5 star experience. The fees for after hours service were very affordable and the cleanliness of the location was impeccable. The care for our dog was top notch. The cleanliness is comfortably, the sweet supportive staff was a bonus, and the service overall was outstanding.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank & recognize the efforts of the staff on the Morning of April 26th. Dr Lindsay MacNeil & staff were AMAZING!!! My baby fur girl, Maebel had a spay and gastropexy done at our trusted Vet. However, we noticed some leakage at the top of the wound location. On October 21 our regular vet diagnosed our beautiful Chloe (12 year old Australian Labradoodle) with advanced cancer with no treatment options. She prescribed her some meds in hopes of extending her time with us, but also gave us signs to watch for in case she deteriorated quickly.
