On October 21 our regular vet diagnosed our beautiful Chloe (12 year old Australian Labradoodle) with advanced cancer with no treatment options. She prescribed her some meds in hopes of extending her time with us, but also gave us signs to watch for in case she deteriorated quickly. Last night we had to say goodbye to our Goldendoodle of 15 years. The New Hospital located by Micmac Mall is the very best. The building is state of the art. The process is organized. The empathy we felt from the staff and doctor was first class. There were no sales pressures. I really believe HRM has their act together and we are becoming a top notch future in mind city. We had a medical emergency last Saturday when our German Shepherd (Suzy Q) ingested a foreign object that we were not aware of. Our vet in the valley was closed for the weekend so we called the Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre in Dartmouth and they advised us to bring her in immediately. I can't speak highly enough about the emergency care this place provided my elderly cat who is quite anxious. They were extremely compassionate, understanding and accommodating of my pet's anxiety while still providing the treatment he needed. They were also upfront and honest about the pricing. I'd definitely recommend!
