They saved my puppy's life, without a doubt. My beautiful golden doodle had a horrific accident, impaling her chest on a spike exposing her insides with a six inch jagged wound. We drove the hour and half drive to Dartmouth praying she would not die on the way there. Once at the hospital the pleasant amazing staff took her right in to the treatment room. My 11 year old staffy mix was diagnosed with epithelial lymphoma July of 2025. The team took her in immediately and determined she was a good candidate for steroids and CCNU so we started her right away and because of the team and care she gets, it is now April 2026 and my girl is still here. I am always taken care of by the team and the front office staff are amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone. ❤️ Rylee and I are grateful for every day she's still here. 🐶🐾

Amazing experience. Brought in our husky with porcupine quills in her face. They got her into an exam room within minutes, doc was ready for her in less than 20, with sedation and removal the whole visit only took 45 minutes and the final bill was about 70% of the estimate! Happy dog headed home

We brought in a cat who had difficulty eating and could not use the bathroom for several days. We were placed in a cold room for nearly three hours with a litter box and instructions to let staff know when the cat had used it. Well, that’s actually the problem; he won’t, that’s why we’re here. We paid $120 for their time and left. We took our cat to Coastal Care in Halifax and within half as much time as we had already spent being ignored at Maritime, they had performed two bloodwork tests along with some other diagnostics ... read more

While we had a bit of a wait (as is the nature with an emergency center), we were treated with the utmost kindness and understanding. Each of the staff were lovely to speak with, from the kind individual on the phone who listened to me stumble with worry, to the friendly individual who greeted us at the front desk and looked after our girl, to the technicians who triaged and spent time with us, support staff who helped for diagnostics, and the doctor - they all understood what quality of care looked like and we felt heard w... read more
