I'm happy with most of this office. They are willing to work with you on meds. What I absolutely hate is the filling out paper forms each time. My pain doesn't change. It never will, only get worse. All this questions about how I feel and how I get along. On good days I'll laugh, on bad days I'll cry. Enough said. I'll recommend this office no matter how ya look at it. Dr Torres and Melissa are great.
Dr. V. Gunawardane is simply awesome! Platelet Rich plasma (PRP) procedure on left hip today. Was a little nervous but everything went smoothly as Dr. G. explained everything step-by-step in detail. He numbed area up well so I did not feel any pain; only a little pressure in one area which can be expected. Look forward to positive results in weeks to come. I would definitely recommend Dr. G. @ Maryland Pain & Spine.
They are very good about returning calls in a timely fashion. Melissa Richards listened to my issues and questions and has helped me with my back pain. I can confidently recommend this practice.
The doctor told me flat out I don’t have TOS, which multiple vascular surgeons have confirmed I do have. He then refused to help with my pain until I lost weight. Told me my pain was directly because of my weight—it didn’t matter that I was heavier and didn’t have this pain prior to surgery and now do despite being thinner. Yes, I’m still overweight and working on it, but being in constant pain makes it hard to be active. This practice makes pain patients get all kinds of diagnostic procedures, over and over with no procedures to help with the pain. I went to another pain provider in the area and he immediately scheduled me for a steroid injection that provided instant relief- with no narcotics prescribed. On another note, I scheduled an appointment to start treatment with Maryland Pain & Spine and when I arrived, barely able to stand from pain, I was told I didn't have an appointment scheduled. Inept office staff and abrupt practitioners.
