Dr. Makan is great! However I saw another doctor for an attending physicians statement and she said she would not fill one out because she does not know me. I doubt the doctors know everyone that walks in! This is mandatory by trip cancellation insurance although a doctor will not fill it out for me. MCI says they charge for this (see attached photo) but if they do not even fill it out, what's the point of advertising it. I am now again in search of a new family doctor due to this clinic’s negligence in properly informing patients about changes to appointments. In August, I had called and asked to book a meet and greet with the doctor accepting new patients. I had told the receptionist I needed a 9am time slot due to my work schedule; however, due to the length of the appointment and the popularity of this time slot I was not scheduled till October 15th. Our family sees Dr. O at the Nosehill Well Health. We like him and believe he's a good physician, however the management of the clinic is ridiculous. Appointments MUST be booked online, and when booking your specific physician, appointments are 4-6 weeks wait. the online platform has glitches and often doesn't recognize the patient (so can't book). Appointments are also supposed to be changed or cancelled online, but the system does not support this feature. Email or text reminders/confirmations are NOT available. The clin... read more
I met the family doctor earlier this month. Discussed with him my prescriptions that i will need filled on the next visit. But due to issues with my profile i was forced to go with any random doctor available. When i met said random doctor at the clinic, she refused to provide me with my prescriptions because according to her, that was provided at my previous meeting with my family doctor (when in fact that was not the case). Our family have been clients at Ranchlands Clinic for over 30 years, and we love Dr. Weir and this clinic. The problem is that the last two times I tried calling, including today, the message is that the phone lines are closed. It's 10am Monday so this isn't true. There's no place to leave a message so nothing I can do except try again. I'm supposed to call in for a follow up so not happy it's so difficult.
