Would love to give 0 stars. This place is an absolute train wreck of an office. They don’t care about anything. Whatever new management has taken over has ruined whatever good reviews they relied on to get people like myself to step foot into their office. Wait times were hours long. The office is inefficiently run and the whole office is not very personable. We’ve been going to step pediatrics since my 12 year old was born and now both of my girls are seen here. Dr. Peterson has been wonderful since he came in. He listens and seems to genuinely care. He always makes sure all of our questions are answered and doesn’t rush through our visit. My youngest just had her 4 year shots and checkup and the nurse who saw us was wonderful as well. She was so patient with her during her eye and hearing exams and made her feel safe even when giving her shots.
The Dr’s are great. The office staff not so much. Hold times are long, they pick up and put your straight on hold , sometimes they forget to come back to your call. I received a list of Ophthalmologist to take my child from this clinic and the first one was a wrong number, to make an initial appointment that is not the number to call, I waited for a long time in hold only for them to tell me this. The second one , the pediatric doctor is only in the Pearland location almost 1.5 hours away. I had a very difficult time.
New Doctor speaks Spanish and english. She is wonderful! The nurse is very skilled and sweet. We are coming back.
The doctors are so thorough and caring. My kids have gone to STEP since they were infants. Dr. Purcell is amazing. We appreciate their willingness to get us in on short notice if the kids are feeling poorly also. I highly recommend STEP.
