Love the salads at this Mendocino Farms location in San Mateo! All the ingredients were fresh and perfectly presented, even in the take-out containers. Fast and super friendly staff. The parking lot can be very busy and a bit chaotic, but the underground parking lot has a lot of spots and easier to navigate.
The lemonade here is not the syrupy kind, it strikes the perfect zingy balance that you’d want on a warm day. The prosciutto and chicken sandwich was tasty, and the balsamic glaze in it nailed it. It added the tang it was meant to without taking over. It’s self-service, but they are quick and efficient. With benches, and high stools, the space leans industrial, amd somehow it all works together.
So I went in today for the 2nd time our first time it was great we ate at the restaurant and we really enjoyed the chicken pesto capreese sandwich and for that same reason we decided to order it again. However today we ordered to go when I got home which is 10 minutes from the restaurant all the sandwiches were cold like they had them done in advance and decided to put them in the bag when ordered. Peruvian steak sandwich was tasty, but bread was soft. It would have been great if meat was chargrilled and bread was crispy. It's in a strip mall so convenient and functional, in and out.
