Had a procedure today with Dr. Gorrepati. Every aspect of the procedure was flawless. I had multiple questions beforehand and emailed with Karen (scheduler) a number of times. She took the time to get back to me each time with a full answer, taking time to show care and concern. When I arrived, Carol at the front desk was personable and made the process seamless and quick. Biggest joke ever!!!! They were incredibly rude and incompetent. They didn't give us all the supplies for the sample, gave us little to no direction for the tests not marking anything and then throwing a fit because I asked questions and they had to do their job. It takes a lot for me to review a place but this is insane! I told them I have autism and was discriminated against. I don't know where the bad reviews are coming from. I had an excellent experience getting an appointment with a referral. The front desk, the nurse, the NP and scheduler were very friendly and professional. All my questions and concerns were answered. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!
Following a GI bleed, and an ambulance ride to MercyOne downtown, my wife’s primary care doctor referred her to MercyOne GI Clinic for follow up. After two weeks, we did not hear from them so, as instructed, we tried to contact MercyOne GI Clinic. Apparently, their phones were “malfunctioning” to the point we couldn’t leave message. We tried contacting them through the patient portal, but it was apparently malfunctioning as well because the only clinics that it would allow us to message were Michigan and Texas. Very through. Answer your question, have no issues making referrals. Only issue is time it takes to get call answered, long time on hold,often health care providers don’t respond in timely matter about questions, sometimes they don’t respond at all. Guess they’re busy helping others who have been on hold
