Went to this ER about a month ago for incredible anxiety and feeling unsafe(hurting myself). I had to wait over 6 hours to see a DR. I was very unwell and asked for anxiety meds 4+ times to be told I can get some once the doctor sees me. When the Dr finally came into my room he was in there for less than a minute and told me I was fine, he refused to give me any anxiety meds when I asked and discharged me without even treating the reason I came in or having a psychiatrist evaluate me when I repeatedately told him I felt unsa... read more

I recently fell and broke my wrist and went to ER. they were quick, friendly and incredibly helpful. I was in and out in about 4 hours. Lab and X-ray techs were kind and helpful. the nurses and doctors were very informative and tried to be as gentle as possible and even took my weird sensor of humor when I am in pain. I read all the negative opinions but honestly I couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you all

30 weeks pregnant and tested positive for influenza A. My doctor was great and helpful and they made sure me and baby were all good before being discharged.

No care whatsoever. What kind of ER has ZERO sense of urgency? Brought our loved one in ourselves with blood running down his leg from a surgery last week. Our loved one was told to come in to this facility if this happened regardless of time. And no one helped us. Just took his pressure and offered to clean up once we were out of the room. No worries. Probably the rudest of all women work in the Mason City ER department. I’ve never been treated so poorly anywhere like here. While you wait in your room for the Doctor you have to listen to all the nurses and staff talk nonstop about how there weekend was and who and what they did. Maybe if they would check on ya from time to time and do their job they would have better than a 1.5/5 star rating. I’d recommend going to Belmond or Osage.. this place is trash.
