This hospital is exceptional. The facility was well-maintained and immaculate. Navigation to various locations within the facility proved challenging. The staff members were pleasant and amiable. Parking was ample and not congested.

Every time I've ever had an emergency and you had to go there from the emergency room to the fourth floor. They take wonderful care of you. Very professional nurses. Very knowledgeable nurses. Very knowledgeable doctors. I have no idea what everybody's faced since they only have a 2.7% rating, but that's your own call but it was awesome

We had an excellent experience at this hospital during a very stressful and scary time. From the moment we arrived, the staff took our concerns seriously and were incredibly thorough. The nurses were attentive, compassionate, and patient, especially when pain control and hydration were challenging. They checked in often, explained what they were doing, and truly made us feel cared for. My mother died after being treated at MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center, and our family’s experience with this hospital was extremely troubling. During her hospitalization, communication from staff was poor and concerns about her care were not taken seriously. I am a nurse practitioner, and the issues our family observed would concern any healthcare professional. The lack of coordination and responsiveness was deeply concerning. This particular hospital ER is okay ,definitely better than down town ,however if there is a procedure you need done and they can't do it here,they WILL send you down town. For the most part the staff are wonderful ,they took great care of me in the face of my emergency the 1st visit and the 4th aka last visit. However I had to come in 2 other times between the start of my surgery and the end of my surgery and that was a whole other story ,one time I had the start of sepsis and they sent me home with pain relievers ,said the... read more
