I feel most reviews on a hospital are only when something goes wrong, so I wanted to add a positive vote. I just visited here first time for an imaging. I was greeted at the counter. Every person I interacted with introduced themselves by name. People smiled. Were upbeat. The tech was clear at communicating everything as she was working. A+ staff! This hospital is exceptional. The facility was well-maintained and immaculate. Navigation to various locations within the facility proved challenging. The staff members were pleasant and amiable. Parking was ample and not congested.

I came to the ER doubled-over in pain. Before this visit I'd already had kidney stones on 2 other occasions. I was triaged soon after arrival, then taken to a room in the ER. They confirmed I had another kidney stone. 2 of the nurses, Leresa, and then later Michael managed my pain with compassionate care before I was discharged, and I'm grateful to them both. I don't recommend anyone to get a kidney stone, but I received really good care at MercyOne West, West Des Moines and you can too.

*PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE.* Better off just going anywhere else or staying home. The nurses and doctors don’t give a shit about their patients, and they’re just in the back laughing and giggling, but couldn’t even come check on us. Stayed in the emergency room for about 12 hours, and only got checked twice. Given nothing for pain till 5 hours in, then finally went to get a test done after 8 hours. We had a great experience at the hospital for labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The facility was clean and well-organized, creating a calm and supportive environment. The nurses were exceptional—attentive, compassionate, and highly skilled. The labor and delivery team provided constant support and clear communication, while the postpartum nurses continued that same level of care and responsiveness.
