Learning to do things sober was surprisingly enjoyable. From making vision boards, playing BINGO(Mr. Briggs gave us candy!), and socializing with others who related to my life. I still remember assignments I worked on with my counselor along with the compassion, words of wisdom and truth that PRC J spoke. Everyone raved on how awesome J is. He is very genuine. The staff was very caring and helpful but the program did not offer as much learning material as I had hoped. Many groups ended early or were “filler” classes where we did coloring, music, or worked on artwork. I really enjoyed my counselor but felt like during our group therapy we were not checking in with each other but instead just working on projects or listening to our counselor talk. A great safe place to be when seriously trying to get sober, some issues with some running things I won't say names but they don't make you want to be there a couple of staff members are not honest about sobriety speaking from knowledge but other than that a great place with amazing staff. I was blessed to have ended up there to get sober, amazing counselors and Lynn my case manager was absolutely amazing and so helpful.
Multiple family members of mine have utilized Meridian Health services. Consistent service. Clean Facility. Caring individuals. From what I hear, they are constantly improving programming. My cousin was there last month and she says they offer different therapy activities that involve horses, acupuncture, yoga, and music. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of healing and support.
Amazing place and staff. Noel is awesome, one of the most passionate people I've ever met in the recovery community. Can't say enough good things about Meridian.
