Review is solely for front desk, not quality of providers - please invest in better procedures and staffing for front desk. I was on waiting list for therapy for months and I would receive emails with an appointment time slot that were “first come first serve,” email them back within 10 minutes or less, and be informed that the slot was gone. The therapists are good, but the billing and front staff are terrible. I have had multiple occasions where they incorrectly bill the sessions and I have had to contact them about it. The front desk staff isn’t helpful or communicative. Beware of the issues with insurance and billing if you do therapy here.

I've had two meetings here where my therapist just didn't show up. Before that, getting the appointments was a battle. I am often contacted on friday evenings with a 24 hour deadline to act, or sent a time consuming test to take just hours before my appointment. I have not been able to see my psychiatrist for a month. I finally had an appointment yesterday and she did not show up. I have been seeing Betsy for 3 months now and she’s been a valuable support system for me here at UCSB. She is just the right match for me and I feel so comfortable with her, she listens to me and empathizes me. Every time I finish a session with her, I feel more at ease than at the beginning of a session. She is such a kind, warm person and calming when I talk to her about my stressors. So glad we found Acacia! The people are wonderful, and we couldn't be happier with the care we've received. Office manager Sarah is awesome at making you feel welcome and working around your schedule, and she even makes billing a breeze. Plus, there's Charlie the Therapy Dog, who is always there with tail-a-waggin' to make you feel at home. We love how Acacia makes us feel like family...they're the best!
