Avoid Mindpath. Instead of informing me my insurance had lapsed, I was billed for close to 10 sessions at over $200 per session. My therapist offered only one therapeutic intervention in our 4 years together by advising me that I should be more compassionate to my serial abusers. In addition, he refused (and I use that term intentionally) to follow up on any of the trauma I discussed. In fact, he forgot about a good deal of it. Just canceled my services today. Even though I was clear about my intentions to stay with the same provider in the fall after summer travels, when I had reached out to them to resume my sessions, they couldn’t fit me in and blamed me that I had not contacted them sooner. I would have appreciated a notice about the earliest I can reach out to secure a spot.
