I have never experienced a mental health provider that had less compassion and empathy in my 30 plus years of treatment. My Clinician not only prescribed medication for a condition that I had never been diagnosed with she cut off the medication that had been working for me. If you value your mental health, stay away from these people. Especially the Santa Monica, Ca. location.
I'm speaking from my own personal issues. I pretty much have found nothing but headaches in their take over from PCSD. Now that they switched everyone over to Zoom instead of a telehealth service; you can not just pay co-payments as they occur/promptly. I have mentioned over the phone I will not give my credit card number (I mean do I have to point out how badly you can be scammed?!?). I wish I had read reviews before getting into bed with Mindpath Health. STAY AWAY from Dr. Mathers and Mindpath. I switched jobs and therefore insurances. So I was trying to find a way to continue receiving Zoloft. I was getting it prescribed through a psych with Kaiser (love Kaiser, miss Kaiser). Visits were virtual, free, and maybe 2-4 times a year. I was less than unimpressed with this place per my first visit/experience/interaction with Nurse Practitioner Marci Bastien. The appointment was set up for an hour’s time. She spent an hour going over my medical history/family & relationship history & completely dismissed the overall focal point of what my appointment was set up for in the first place. The issues I was suffering from in the past were no longer relevant issues. Despite that, she kept wanting to incorporate that into conversation or focus on those things. ... read more
