TLDR: THEY WILL BOOT YOUR APPOINTMENT WITHOUT CONFIRMING. THEY IGNORE THAT YOUR APPOINTMENT IS CONFIRMED, THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS ISOLATED IDIOCY. TIME MOVES IN 1 DIRECTION. I came in for my appointment that I confirmed with them for 2pm. I came in at 1:52pm. I had to take PTO to get there and they said that they rescheduled my appointment, but they failed to confirm. I started last year around December. I was seeking another therapist because I wasn’t happy with my current therapist and felt unheard. It was very important to me that my therapist understood not only my mental health needs, in addition to my social/ systemic issues, AND as well as being a black woman. Dr. Appel is THE best! He truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients and takes a therapeutic approach to provide individualized care. He does not push medication unless clinically necessary. He’s a rare gem in the psychiatric world.
