First time at Minute Suites Houston and we were impressed. We made the reservation online, showed up at the counter and the hostess showed us to our room. It was clean, quiet and perfect temperature to get a much needed 3 hour nap before our connecting flight. Did not book a shower and the restroom is about 100 yards away in the terminal. Will use again when the opportunity arisees.
My recent experience booking a room at IAH Minute Suites was deeply frustrating and unsatisfactory! After our United flight was canceled at the last minute, my family was stranded at the airport for over 14 hours. At the recommendation of United’s care team, I attempted to book a room around 3 AM on June 16, but the website was difficult to navigate. For U$30 30min a shower I expected more. The bathroom was surprisingly clean and 100% dry from previous person using although they were busy (had to wait 1h to get a shower), but there are no places inside the wahsroom to put your backpack other than on top of the sink or bathroom floor. And the stained toilet sit is not inviting. Staff was friendly.
I arrived at IAH for a layover around 1:30 PM and headed straight here using my Priority Pass membership, which provides a complimentary one-hour stay. I was told the next available room wouldn’t be ready until 3:15 PM, so I booked it, even though my connecting flight was set to board at 4:10 PM. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the experience. Not sure why this is poorly rated, I thought this was fantastic. You literally have a private, quiet, climate controlled room with an Alexa and a TV, a desk, chair and couch. I paid $20 to shower and it was so clean and refreshing. If you’re stuck in the airport on a delay or a layover, this is so worth checking out. I used Priority Pass to enter for free.
