Delicious lunch in a lovely setting. Nice choice of lunch drinks.
My wife and I love Mirabelle's Tavern for their Tavern Burger and Organic Mixed Greens Salad with the optional Goat Cheese. The restaurant was attractive as usual, the waiter was punctual and appropriate, and there weren't many tables to service. My wife ordered the Crab Cake which was delicious, I had an old favorite; the Fish and Chips, which were slightly under fried and soggy. Speed of service was okay, we waited a while between our first course and second course. I believe the waiter forgot to enter our second course, t... read more
The waitress did everything, tables, orders, running...We found that strange but she was very efficient and we joked that she may have disappeared into the kitchen to cook the food too. In any case I highly recommend Mirabelle. Go for a nice romantic brunch, we did!
Dined w 5 friends on a Saturday night. We started w drinks we took outside and enjoyed at a table near the entrance. Beautiful evening--perfect way to start an evening w friends. We tried a bunch of starters--steak tartar, Scottish egg, chick peas fries and standard fries --- all were great--for some of us it was a culinary adventure having never tried some of these food but and as a result discovered new likes. Dinner was mostly sea scallops --terrific, one prime rib and one lamb chop trio--great as well. We had a great tim... read more
Normally we go to dinner at Mirabelle not at the Tavern, but we were attending a performance at Stony Brook and decided we probably didn't have enough time to dine at Mirabelle and so opted for the Tavern. To our mild surprise the food was very very good.
Food used to be really good. The quality was not there on this occasion. Oysters were too big and greasy, my vegetarian dish was some couscous and vegetables in a small bowl. Hardly worth the money.....Service was great though thanks to Shane.
I loved Mirabelle Tavern. The food was fantastic. It was a little noisy and slow for my taste, but I went at the busiest dinner time on saturday, so a little bit my fault. My fiance and I plan to return every season to try the new menu as it changes. I am excited to go back.
Burgers were correctly cooked. Fries were good. Unfortunately, no cole slaw.
We've been to Mirabelle Tavern several times but not on a Sunday so we had no idea there was an all-inclusive brunch menu when we arrived. There was a lot of variety to satisfy our preferences. We particularly enjoyed the salmon and ravioli. Our waiter was not quite as attentive even though there weren't many patrons at the time. We will be back for dinner in the future.
