Good pub food with some choices clearly a spillover from the upper scale Mirabelle Restaurant. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The downside - and quite the downside - was the spillover of the partying crowd from the wedding in the onsite catering facility. The bar scene was cacophonous and rowdy. Now I expect a bar to be lively but the noise level made it near impossible to converse with our table mates. Will I venture back, yes, but will be more cautious and perhaps ask when making a reservation if there's a wed... read more
Great restaurant with very fair prices considering the quality of food and location. Dinner for two with two drinks each was ~$70; I was expecting over $100. The duck was nice and juicy. The scallops were ENORMOUS, seriously where do you get scallops that size? It was a touch noisy and we were near an AC vent that was not situated optimally as it was blowing on us the whole time and my date got cold but I'm sure other tables would not have the same problem. I have dined at Mirabelle many times over the past two decades. I have never been disappointed with the food or the service.
The food was very good, it was noisier than I thought it would be but that was ok. I rated the service poor because while the waitress was friendly, it took a ridiculous amount of time to place my drink order, to order dinner, and to get our food. A couple sitting next to us felt ignored for so long that they left. I still applied a good overall rating because the food and music was very good.
Excellent service, great beer list!
Last minute decision for late night dinner - Hadn't been here in some time for dinner, but have been for lunch. Food and service were excellent.
Sat outside on a beautiful night--really quite lovely. Burger was excellent. Service was swift. (I see a lot of people complaining about the service here, but that wasn't our experience at all.) Excellent beer list. (I ended up trying a pear cider, which was delicious.) Perhaps just a tad overpriced, but the experience was so pleasant, I'm not really complaining.
The Tavern is a Gem - unique dining and wonderful service, always.
Guy Reuge runs a wonderful kitchen but the Sunday brunch at the Tavern was not up to the usual standard. We were late for brunch, but the buffet was open and officially open for another hour and a half, I believe. Everything looked very tired, the staff paid us no attention, we had to practically send an email to get drinks/coffee/needed silverware. The check was long and slow to arrive...there were no other brunchers in the Tavern as far as we could tell, although there were several people at the bar. But occasional groups ... read more
