the choice of wine by the glass was just ok ....and the noise level was almost unbearable .....had a 8pm seating ...always like to support Guy at both of his restaurants so i just try to get past the noise factor - just wish it were a bit quieter and then once the music starts it is really difficult to have a conversation .
A wonderful restaurant with great ambiance, tasteful food and a wonderful staff for an outstanding dining experience.
We love the Tavern. Food is first rate and service, even when the restaurant is busy with weddings, reunions, or just merry crowds, is quick and efficient.
This was my first time at the Tavern and I have to be honest I was a little disappointed. They were out of the foie gras which is one of the reasons we chose Mirabelle for dinner. My steak which I ordered MR came out more like MW they offered me a drink or dessert to make up for my overcooked steak. The service however was great and Tina our waitress was very accomodating.
Exceptional meal.
Food was good but service could have been better. It seems all the attention was focused on a private party and the general restaurant was ignored.
Sunday Brunch was good however they sometimes ran low or out of things and didn't replace right away. Overall the selection was good and tasty. I would have preferred if they had a separate place to put table that had children.
We were so pleased with our meal. The food was delicious and not particularly expensive. The bar had a nice selection of single malts. Loved the French press coffee
We had a wonderful evening with friends who had not eaten at the Tavern before. The fish and Chips were delicious as was the Sea Bass, salads were good portions and were crisp - not too much dressing! As it was Wednesday, the wines by the glass were half price! The Tavern is a very welcoming, comfortable restaurant with reasonable prices and good service.
