Unfortunately, the hot buffet food wasn't even lukewarm! The breakfast pancakes & french toast were cold & hard. The shrimp & cold salads were good. The omelette chef was very good & our server was very nice. Having eaten here many times , this is the first time that we were very disappointed.
I loved Mirabelle for over 25 years when the restaurant was at its original location in St James. Last night was very disappointing. The food was anywhere from bad to mediocre. The presentation was anything but French. The service was slow due to bad management (one waitress the entire dining room) And to top it off the restaurant closed at 8PM. I would not go back. It is the end of an Era specialy since chef Guy Reuge retired.
The service by the waiter was great--he was very good. However, it took almost an hour for the food to arrive ---and the place was not at all crowded. The food was fair but overpriced for the portions served-- better value at a number of other nearby establishments. We are there fairly frequently for dinner and find that is often "hit or miss"--sometimes very good with fine menu selection and good portions, but other times very disappointing--- we know these sentiments are shared with a number of our friends who are all loca... read more
The service was atrocious. Very slow to receive the appetizer. And then another extremely long delay before we got our main course. We won't be going back to Mirabelle for a long time, if ever.
Was not worth the effort. Food was not as expected. Very disappointed.
We arrived and it was very difficult to get into the restaurant. There was construction being done with no guidance as to entry. The drinks were fine. The octopus appetizer was fishy and chewy. My girlfriend's steak came out well done when we asked for medium rare. Duck was okay. The place needs new ownership. It's sad.
The pork belly was terrible. The skin was tough and could not be cut even with a steak knife. The cod fish did not taste fresh. I did complain to the manager and the manager talked to the chef and agreed with my observation on pork belly before the cod was served. Saddened to see the quality of restaurant seemed to have deteriorated.
My husband and I and my cousin and her husband decided to go to brunch for New Year’s Day 2023 Please note that Mirabelles was always our favorite restaurant and we were married at the three village years ago. So it was a very special place to us. This last visit to Mirabelles has totally turned us off. I will not go back. Overpriced for what was given on our plates, skimpy with no pretty presentation . example ; I asked for an omelette and that’s all I received. , no extras like toast, fruit etc the egg Benedict was the onl... read more
We were most disappointed with the service. We were not greeted properly, not once did we hear a servers name or merry Christmas. We were never offered coffee with our dessert and the check showed up on our table.
