The menu was lacking and uninspired. Both fish and fries in my $23 fish n chips were soggy. The portion was large which only meant I had a large plate of soggy food in front of me. The waiter was friendly but being very young had no knowledge of the wine list. The friendliness of the staff was a positive. But it does not make up for the lack of quality and imagination with regard to the food. I would’ve been better off eating at a local diner.
Mirabelle has such a reputation that I was sure we’d enjoy the experience. However, our meal wasn’t served until after an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting and the halibut was dry and tasteless. We’ll be looking for another venue to celebrate any future occasions.
With reservations at 6:00 on a Thursday evening, we were seated in an empty section of the Tavern. We ordered quickly--a Martini, Striped Bass, and Eggplant Parmesan. And a $7.00 serving of mediocre bread. We waited over 45 minutes with no visits by the stressed-out waitress and not even someone to fill our water glasses. The food portions were small and gave with with no side. the hamburger was raw and undercooked
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. We have not been there in a very long time time. We had very poor wait service, the hot dishes were cold and the quality if the food was poor. At $65 a head they didn’t even include coffee. We were given our check in under an hour. We will not be returning.
Did the Mother's Day buffet. Food wasn't great. Service was poor. Normally, this is not the case at the Tavern or Mirabelle.
The service at the restaurant was so bad and took so long and was so overpriced that when my party left, we ended up going to another restaurant and met up with other people from a different table. The quality of this place has gone so far down that I will not be going back ever again
Small overpriced portions. The restaurant smells like a funeral home.
Mirabelle in name only. I never give bad reviews but I was so disappointed, and I feel misled, that I’m sharing this review. I was expecting the Mirabelle of the 80’s, and instead received a sub-par, over priced, under-seasoned, bland, slow, and disappointing meal. I have worked in restaurants, cook myself and worked in the food industry for years, so I appreciate and understand the difficulty of executing a wonderful dining experience. This restaurant that does not reflect what it once was in any way. While very kind and tr... read more
