Mirabelle is a nice bar/restaurant in Stony Brook. The location is beautiful. If you like bar/restaurant food, you will enjoy this place. Very comfortable. The service is also very nice.
The service was lacking. Waiter was more interested in talking to the receptionist in another room. We had to request his attention several times for we did not receive water or our food in a timely fashion. We never ordered desserts for he never came back to our table. We even had trouble getting the check.
Food and drink were fantastic!! I only have one complaint . . .as the girl walked around giving bread and butter to every table around us she repeatedly ignored us. I had enough food where I didn't leave hungry but some bread between courses is nice. :(
Mirabelle Tavern is ALWAYS a great dining experience!
Very disappointed. We haven't been here in a long time and will probably not be going back. My wife and I ordered off the Prix Fixe menu. My wife ordered the Borcht to start, it was supposed to have sliced duck breast on it, nope. I ordered the Prime Rib and received what seemed to be a sirloin steak definitely not Prime Rib, this was supposed to come with green beans but had snow peas instead. I love mirabelle. The burgers are to die for. And the cheese plate is so fun.
Always love the Mirabelle Tavern. The food, cocktails & wine list are very good. Love the warm & casual ambiance.
Due to time constraints had to be seated and served rather quickly. Waiter was very attentive to our needs and we made ferry ride back to Ct in time.
Presentation of the main meal was poorly presented and the meat portion was very large.
