I was disappointed in the food at Mirabelle Tavern. My husband and I came here for the restaurant week special on 11/4/16. The squash w crab soup was thin, watery and odd-tasting. You really had to hunt to find traces of crab in the soup. I had pan seared arctic char for entree - pretty good, nothing to Wow about. Coffee was weak. Surprisingly weak considering it was made in a French Press, which usually yields strong coffee. For dessert I had pumpkin panna cotta, I had had high hopes, but it was bland and boring. My husband... read more

My wife and I dined at Mirabelle for Long Island Restaurant Week and while the cuisine was good, not excellent as we had hoped, but good, the service was very poor. The server seemed put out that we asked for the check as he made a face. The server didn't bother to return the check and my debit card to me, one of the bus boys brought it to me. The server didn't wish us a good evening and he didn't bother to ask how we liked the meal. We both had the artic char which was cooked perfectly. A cauliflower steak covered in onion ... read more

Nice venue. There was a Bridal Expo going on, so there was a lot of action. Restaurant was not super crowded. Our waiter was fantastic. I can not say enough about his service. The food was so-so. Due to this, I would not return. Parking was difficult also. I was lucky to get a spot in lot but there was not adequate lighting when returning to car in the dark.

Our meals were very good, but we had to send back the mussels. There was something wrong with them and the chef agreed. I am very surprised to have such an experience in such a nice place. There was something wrong with both the mussels and the broth it came in. We did not want to wait for the kitchen to prepare another meal, so we just shared the arctic char dish which I thought was excellent. I also enjoyed the butternut squash soup. The Caesar Salad was status quo and the panna cotta was okay. Overall, it was a little dis... read more

If I had to give a title to this review, it would read "What happened to this place?" We hadn't been back to Mirebelle since a couple of years back when we'd planned a birthday dinner on a Wednesday evening and arrived to discover that the dining room is only open on the weekends. To boot, there was a musical duo playing and ours was the last free table, right next to them. We walked out and ate around the corner at a sweet and quiet little place. We deliberately reserved this occasion on a Saturday evening to ensure we woul... read more

Food is very good, if a bit overpriced. Services is polite, and attentive, but somewhat clueless (they're not quite sure what it is they're serving, don't pay attention, and have a tendency to make strange mistakes, or forget things entirely). Part of the problem is they don't write anything down, but they seem to lack the mental capacity to retain the order after you tell them. As long as you're OK with that, everything else is quite nice :)

Mirabelle is a exquisite gem set in Stony Brook Harbor. They have a tavern and a main restaurant. The main restaurant you may want to book for a romantic dinner, a special birthday or holiday. It's a bit pricy but the food is divine as is the service and the attention to detail. My family has been coming here for years and we have never been disappointed ( just a bit poorer, I kid). The Tavern is an overall nice place to have a delectable meal, or unwind with friends and enjoy some scrumptious snacks or a place to just grab ... read more

The young man and woman at the front desk of the Inn were super nice and gave us a great table. This is an 18th century house with an interesting history. Lots of atmosphere. We expected to be seated in the restaurant but it was full, so we ate in the tavern, which has the same menu but is less formal. It was not too noisy at the back. Food was excellent, especially the deserts--roasted strawberries with ricotta sauce. Service was a bit sketchy but adequate. Not enough servers for that big space. We will definitely return ne... read more
