I've lived at the Monterey Apartments for almost a year now, and the staff has been so friendly and helpful to me. Each time I make a complaint they have scheduled and helped me the best way they can. I've been helped by Genesis and she has been great. I also had the privilege to deal with Kay, who right when I walked in she and the other ladies greeted me so friendly like they always do. I’ll begin by discussing the major mold problem this place is apparently KNOWN to have. When we first moved in I noticed a weird appearance to the vents, I did not think anything of it until I started to find mold in the bathroom when I was taking a bath. this is apartment complex is the opposite of any 5 star reviews- It's location is what fools people into believing that it's good. It's not. Run down, poor maintenance, poor management. The tenants believe they are entitled to do whatever. And by whatever I mean, trashing the pools, trashing the laundry rooms, smoking everywhere, dog poop everywhere, parties, screaming, loud music . Someone I know lives there and he has had water issues. They cut a hole in the ceiling of his apartment and just threw spackal on the ceiling leaving a big club on the ceiling. The outside of his refrigerator keeps rusting. He now has a bug problem because someone in his building is untidy. I think they charge way too much for being much older apartments.
If I could I would give no stars! Absolutely horrible! I have no words for this apartment complex I lived here for 2 1/2 years and had nothing but problems from extreme mold infestation in my apartment to my whole ceiling having a leak and having to be replaced twice. I had to wait months for things to be fixed and no one even responded to my work orders. I was sick countless times and hospitalized due to my apartment.
