I brought in a watch that had gotten wet: €130 because the movement needed replacing. I thought, okay, it's expensive, but that's the price, and it was my own fault... I picked it up two weeks later: the watch worked for two days, then the minute hand stopped. 70km round trip later (so that was the second time), the watch was "repaired." I received a quote of €112 for replacing the battery, gasket, and water resistance of my Maurice Lacroix Aikon watch. For comparison, a Swiss watchmaker performed the same service for approximately 18 CHF (€20). Beyond the price difference, I found the experience and explanations much more professional at this independent watchmaker's shop. I would have appreciated more transparency regarding the justification for such a high price.
I came in to have the battery replaced in my €160 Mauboussin watch. I mention this because the salesperson immediately said, "Oh, your watch is beautiful!" He quoted me €27.90 to change the battery… I found that expensive… I went to ask the price at a jewelry store in the mall, 50 meters away: €8. Such a big price difference is a bit much! I don't recommend this shop.
I broke the spring bar on my Zadig & Voltaire watch, and neither the gallery nor the Zadig store itself could find a solution. A woman from Histoire d'Or recommended their watch repair service. No regrets at all; my watch is restored to like-new condition with excellent service. I highly recommend them.
The screen protector on my phone peeled off after only two days. The quality was poor to begin with, and the fact that it peeled off made things worse. Unfortunately, it's not possible to get a refund… a very bad deal.
