Created PVC Housing for Intex Spa I bought this for my Intex inflatable spa after seeing the other review where the user attached it to the outlet with a zip tie. I wanted something better, so I bought some pipe and made a housing for the filter. The key dimensions here are: the part where it screws onto the spa (where the filter housings screw onto) is 1.5". Then, I used 1.25" pipe for the main housing of the mineral stick. So, I have a ring that has inside threads at 1.5", I have a 90 degree elbow that is 1.5" on one end a... read more
I'm disappointed that the manufacturer This keeps my spa water clean and clear. Although, I'm disappointed that the manufacturer, or someone else, does not provide refills. Inside the plastic housing, you'll find a lot of pebble-looking objects. See attached photo. If the manufacturer was more concerned about the cleanliness of the environment than profit, they would provide refills of the pebble-looking objects. Instead, the plastic housing is sealed, refills are not provided, and I have to purchase the plastic housing with... read more
Business response:
Zodiac Pool Systems says: Dear Zesh, Thank you for raising a valuable subject. While we understand your suggestion, in order to provide media refills for this product outside the cartridge, we would have to conduct animal toxicity testing. We have decided to avoid animal testing on this product to uphold similar environmentally-conscious standards. Also, since the cartridges are not intended to be opened, we recommend referring to the Spa Stick manual for precautionary guidelines pertaining to handling the media outside th... read more
Works well, but tedious installation I've been able to decrease significantly the amount of chlorine I use in my spa since I've added the Nature2 Spa Stick. It almost caused a disaster, though, when I dropped it into the stand tube/pipe in my filter. The instructions aren't completely clear, and the stick went all the way down into my filter beyond where I could see or reach it. I had to fish it out with a bent coat hanger and some other MacGyvering, a process which took almost 4 hours. Since this doesn't fit in my spa, I ha... read more
One Star External and internal package arrived in bad shape and had been opened. Hope it works!
Nature2 I have used this and the frog, and find that this is just a little bit better at keeping the water clear. This and the frog last the same amount of time at about three to four months use depending on how hard it has to work. Super simple to use. Comes with an extender to fit multiple sizes of filters. I use this with a non chlorine Spa shock and use chlorine granules maybe once a month. Never enough chlorine to even register on a test strip, so this does a great job for me. All natural which is good.
Don't know Who knows, this is one of them items you have to believe what the manufactures tell you.
