Just got off the phone with someone on a power trip at the front desk named Mara, and honestly… I’ve rarely encountered someone so aggressively condescending in a role that requires nothing more than basic professionalism. The doctors are nice but the woman who answers the phone and makes the appointments is extremely rude. She talks down to you like you’re stupid and has an attitude. If you’re going to work in customer service and also be talking to pregnant women, have some compassion and kindness. Both interactions I’ve had with this lady have ultimately made me move providers for my pregnancy.
This office has failed me over and over again. I gave them multiple chances too!! I started off with Dr. Du coming from specialists in women’s health in Waterbury ( another terrible place ) and thought I found a place that would finally take me seriously. Nope, she started off good and the visits just got worse and worse. READER BEWARE! This doctor’s office does not check your insurance compatibility before sending you for tests! I got charged over $3300 for an ultrasound because this provider sent me to another office that was NOT covered by my insurance (BCBS) and failed to either look into it or let me know ahead of time. I’ve had PCOS for 3 years ever since the birth of my son. I have gone to this OBGYN for a couple years now and started seeing a new DR. After years of being on Metformin for insulin resistance issues the new DR refuses to give me the prescription and just says “exercise and lose weight”. I have been exercising, eating healthy for 2+ years and have never seen a different in my weight or anything. They fail to help you at all.
